Spotlight Weekly: Spring Jackets

12:00 AM

Jacket: Old Navy | Top: Old Navy | Jeans: BDG | Clutch: ℅ SUSU | Shoes: Target (similar) | Sunglasses: Nordstrom BP. | Headband: Walmart (similar) | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: ℅ Oia Jules

Today I am co-hosting the Spotlight Weekly link up with Jacqueline of Stylin' In St. Louis and Elle of Living in Color Style to show you how to style blazers/jackets for Spring! I chose to go with a white denim jacket, which I actually just bought. When wanting to add an extra layer, I usually grab my regular denim jacket, and thought a white one would be perfect for Spring and Summer.  So, be prepared to see a lot of this jacket!

And yes, I dyed my hair pink. Well, sort of. I've always wanted to do pink tips, and got a little taste of it when I got my hair chalked at the #BollareFest a couple weeks ago. Liz of Late Afternoon also just colored her hair pink, so I was feeling inspired by her and decided to just do it. Why not? I used Kool-Aid and some food coloring, and it didn't turn out quite as pigmented or pink as I wanted. I'm planning on finding some Manic Panic and doing more. Look out for a post about that!

  2. I love the white jacket! What a fun touch. I usually wear dark colors on top, and like you, pick up my denim jacket.. but this is a fun way to transition to spring/summer. I may have to get one! And Old Navy really has been stepping up their game lately, I'm impressed.

Love love love the shoes and of course, the olive pants. Who knew olive pants could be so chic? Haha and I was thinking pink hair would be fun after seeing Liz of Late Afternoon as well! You rock it so well!

  3. Hey I was reading you want to do pink tips, and I really would suggest Pravana its super pigmented. It works really really well. I have used it before, and always been really happy with the results. My only big advice since you are going to be doing this yourself. Apply conditioner where you don't want the color to travel up on your hair. You have to remember color swells. So it will expand a little when you use it. Also you probably don't want a hard line. So I would suggest back combing your hair in the area where the break between your natural haircolor and the new color will be applied. I use to be an Aveda Colorist. If you need any help please feel free to reach out. I love hair and color!!:)
